How to measure

The measurements are placed in order of length x width (or depth) and height. (LxWxH)

For a 2-dimensional object, such as a painting or a sheet of paper, the measurements are placed in the order of length and width. 

For example, if a painting measures 70 cm long and 50 cm wide, it would be written as 70 x 50 cm. (LxW)

Box measurements:

The Internal Measurements of the box are the useful size of the box. That is, the measures that you can take advantage of for storage.

The External Measurements are when the box is completely closed.

These papers for the storage of photography and image conservation are made with 100% cotton fibers and they are unbuffered articles of high purity. They are made with cotton wires containing no chemicals, so they are probably the purest of all photographic storage papers. The papers are un-calendered to allow the maximum transpiration and to avoid the possible accumulation of harmful gases caused by some photographic materials (cellulose nitrate and some acetates) present in its storage medium. Due to their purity and porosity, they can safely be used for long term storage of all kinds of photographic materials be they negatives or prints and irrespective of the photographic technique used to create them. Although they are intended for the storage of photographic material, they can also be used for the storage of other materials such as textiles, historical documents, stamps, coins, archaeological objects or any other object that requires a non-alkaline and high purity environment.
